Hey, Alexis! Re, TJs: Whenever we report out and test skincare for a NYT Wirecutter guide, we include Trader Joe’s. (You know me, lol, but for those who don’t: I edit the beauty vertical at Wirecutter & we have guides to the best moisturizer, vitamin c serum, cleanser, etc.) So far, the only TJ skincare we recommend is their retinol night serum. Testers loved the silky texture—and the price, obvi. Anyway, love that you’re doing a newsletter…keep ‘em coming!

Also, looking forward to the breathewave update. I’ve been hesitant to add to my “need to sleep” accoutrement (if I ever have anybody in my bed ever again), but the mouthtape/nasal expander is starting to feel like a solid trade-off for the cold side of the mattress.

do you have thoughts on Celisse?

I’ve seen it on instagram but don’t understand what the point of differentiation is.

The polishes dry very quickly (under 2 min). For someone like me who would get pale pink/nude gels every time I get my nails done, so far they’re a nice time/money saver for a similar look.

Ok but I actually need someone to scientifically explain to me why all lip stains are the same color!!

Only certain pigments stain and they’re all in the red family. Doing different levels will make them go lighter or darker and adding a touch of blue or yellow will slightly move them but they’re still all red at the end of the day!
